Emmy-winning actress Shelley Long has joined the cast of ABC’s new sitcom "Modern Family," according to Josef Adalian at The Wrap.com.
Long won her Emmy for the character of Diane Chambers on "Cheers." She will appear on "Modern Family" as Ed O’Neill’s ex-wife.

The FRASIER character was created by Les and Glen Charles and Jim Burrow.
