Fox beat out the competition to land a sitcom based on the Web site textsfromlastnight.com, which since February has been documenting the life of twentysomethings through posts of their embarrassing text messages, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The multicamera show will be written by Steve Holland and produced by Sony Television and Happy Madison.

The site gets an average of 4 million hits a day.
