Ex-Miss California Sues Pageant, Says She Was Fired For Speaking Out Against Gay Marriage

Carrie Prejean, the fired former Miss California USA, has sued officials of the pageant for libel, slander and religious discrimination, Reuters reports.

According to Reuters, "Prejean has sued beauty pageant organizers claiming she was wrongfully fired for saying marriage should be only between a man and a woman, her lawyer said on Monday."

The pageant, which fired Prejean two months ago, claimed she breached her contract by not making certain appearances.
