After just two strong outings, Fox’s "Glee" has been given a full-season pickup, the first new fall show to get one, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The strong showing for the musical comedy series appears to be a validation of the network’s strategy to premiere the program last May and leave viewers wanting more over the summer.

  1. It’s a brilliant idea for a brilliant show. Don’t know how well it would work for just any old show but for something as stellar as ‘Glee’ that is awesome
planning-ahead. I’m thrilled to hear it’s been picked up for a full season.
