Emmy nominee Hugh Laurie is contemplating the end of his role as Fox’s limping Dr. Gregory House because faking the ailment is causing him real pain, reports the Mirror.

"The show might last to series seven, eight or nine, but I don’t know if I will because I’m starting to lose my knees a little bit," said the actor.

  1. NO! They must find a cure for House’s leg. He’d still be cranky. The show can go on without the limp, but not without Hugh Laurie!

  2. Let the producers and writers “cure” House’s limp on the show. He’s too rich a character not to have other physical manifestations develop from his amazing warpedness, to pick up the slack.

  3. Agreed – recall the producers did cure it for a big chunk of a season a few years back.
They could just make up some magic stem cell technique or something.

  4. Maybe Hugh Laurie could just takes some pain killers to help. Oops. Bad idea.

  5. Great headline. If your cookie has a bite-sized action and your reader completes the action, I think two things happen. Their self-confidence goes up (which feels good) and their trust in you increases.
