News Corp. chairman-CEO Rupert Murdoch told the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference that the partners in the free online video service Hulu are looking to add subscription services and pay-per-view, Multichannel News reports.
NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker, whose company is a partner with News Corp. in Hulu, said earlier that the partners are looking at ways other than advertising to monetize the 18-month-old service, but no decisions have been made. He said Hulu is "ahead of plan" with more than 200 advertisers already.
