Ion is trying to shake its old Pax network roots once and for all by airing a series that’s much more edgy in nature, reports our TVWeek colleague Elizabeth Jensen in the New York Times.
The show, "Durham County," according to the Times, "which has more than a touch of ‘Twin Peaks’ mysteriousness about it," will have a 12-episode run airing on Mondays. This week Ion is rerunning the first episode every night at 11 p.m.
Separately, the series, which was originally on Canadian TV, got a positive review from the Times’ Alessandra Stanley, who called it a "scary, well-made thriller."
