According to new research by Nielsen Media Reearch, 57% of viewers in the U.S. who have both TVs and Internet access have tuned into both simultaneously at least once a month. That translates to 128 million people.
According to a Reuters article about the research, "The Nielsen study found the average TV viewer who uses the Internet simultaneously does that for 2 hours and 40 minutes a month, and that 28 percent of the time they are on the Web at home [and] they are also watching television."
