Sep 1, 2009  •  Post A Comment

In her first official interview since quitting “American Idol,” Paula Abdul, when asked if she left the show over money, told TV Guide magazine that “I stand on principle where many people stand on money,” adding, “I’m a hard-working artist. I’ve lasted in this business for 23 years. And you can’t do that unless you are good at what you do. I believe in myself and you have to have your own self-respect.”

Asked if the “Idol” producers could woo her back, she said, “I don’t think I can answer that right now.”

She also said she “definitely” wants to do a talk show. “I’d be Paula. It would be a lot of fun variety with a ton of unexpected stuff and tributes to everyday people getting their big chance.”

  1. the most stupid thing you could is rule out Paula Abdul from Idol. I am no longer interested about Idol. The only reason I was even watching a little bit of Idol was because of Paula. That Kara woman, does not even a tinny bit of Paula’s talent and personality. You’ll be sorry, you let her go. that is the beginning of Idol’s end.

  2. I love the expression. Everyone needs to express there own opinion and feel free to hear others. Keep it up 🙂
