ABC News employees are frustrated that the division still hasn’t announced a succession plan for “Good Morning America” as Diane Sawyer heads off to “World News” imminently, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Sawyer is expected to wrap up at “GMA” next week and succeed Charlie Gibson on “World News” on Dec. 21.

Many expect her replacement to be George Stephanopoulos.

ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider said the process was expected to take four months and is on track, about three-fourths completed.
