Dec 3, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Comcast CEO Brian Roberts, in an interview with CNBC this morning announcing that Comcast will take a 51% stake  in NBC Universal, said that the company is commited to broadcast TV.

"We’d like to invest in the business and succeed in the business," Roberts said, referring to NBC’s broadcast business. One of the things we’ve talked about is ‘are we together going to win and create winners?’ I think that’s absolutely the case."

Roberts also said that Comcast is announcing today that it’s increasing it’s dividend by 40% and that he is still very much enamored of the cable operating business.
