Last week rumors about Howard Stern being considered as the next "American Idol" judge to
replace the departing Simon Cowell next season, have a basis in fact, reports The Wrap.

The shock jock said on his radio show that Fox has contacted him and he’s interested: “There’s not a better job on the planet than judging that f—ing karaoke contest," the report quotes Stern as saying.

  1. Oh man, I was really hoping this was just a media rumor. WTH is FOX thinking? Stern’s brand is wildly incompatible with IDOL’s family-friendly brand. Ellen is already a comic with no music industry or vocal creds. Two comics overloads the panel with a lack of expertise.

  2. Has anyone forgot that “American Idol” is “LIVE” when the top 24 is announced!!!! FOX Is creating suicide by putting Howard Stern on the show!!!!

  3. It’s not going to happen. Doesn’t matter what any article says.

  4. What AJ said above – it won’t happen
