Is CBS Cutting iTunes Price of Some Shows to 99 Cents?

CBS has signed on to Apple’s plan to cut prices of TV shows sold through iTunes, and will drop the price of some of its shows to 99 cents, MediaMemo reports, citing a comment from CEO Leslie Moonves on the company’s earnings conference call.

But after Moonves made the comment, unnamed sources backpedaled and said that while CBS is open to the idea, there are no imminent plans to drop prices, MediaMemo reported.

MediaMemo said it’s going with Moonves’ on-the-record comment, which was: “There are certain shows that will be sold on Apple for 99 cents.”
