NBC Moves Swiftly to Excise Traces of Conan

Feb 3, 2010  •  Post A Comment

NBC wasted no time in getting rid of traces of Conan O’Brien, Gawker reports.

The company has cut the picture of its former late-night host from the lobby mural at its New York headquarters at 30 Rock, and replaced him with–who else–Jay Leno. But Leno no longer gets a giant picture elsewhere in the mural.

The site has the picture evidence.

  1. As they say in Hollywood, you’re only as good as your last picture. As they say in the Boardroom, you’re only as welcome as the big cheeses want you to be. Keith Warn

  2. I wonder if someone else will put Conan’s pic on his wall!!! His bizarre red hair doesnt help…. man he should get a haircut and stay away from TV for the next 5 years

  3. If I was NBC, I would do the same thing. Conan is a FORMER NBC celebrity. Even though I think NBC screwed Conan, I think they are perfectly justified in replacing him in the mural.
    This is soooo non-newsworthy!

  4. Interesting thoughts here. I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us all. It’s people like you that make my day 🙂
