The upcoming season of Discovery’s “Deadliest Catch” will feature Capt. Phil Harris’ final voyage at sea, but it may also include footage from the hospital as he unsuccessfully tried to recover from a massive stroke, EW.com reports.

Harris died Feb. 9.

The show’s executive producer, Thom Beers, told EW that when Harris came out of a coma on Feb. 2, “he was trying to talk. He couldn’t, but he was motioning with his hand to my producer and camera man. We said we want to give you your space and get out, and he wrote on a piece of paper. It said, ‘No, we need a great finish to this story.’”

Harris’ family will decide whether the footage will air.

On Saturday, Discovery will run a 15-hour marathon of the show as a tribute to Harris.
