A&E, Discovery Frontrunners to Obtain Palin Reality Show

Former VP candidate Sarah Palin’s proposed Alaska-based reality travelogue show is still looking for a home, but two networks are quickly becoming the frontrunners, Variety reports.

A&E and Discovery are believed to be at the top of the list looking to land the Palin program, executive produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Bids are still being finalized, but factoring in the talent involved, episodes could cost around $1 million per episode.

Rumors are swirling that Burnett himself is grooming Palin to become a daytime star, in which case, the timing couldn’t be better as Oprah Winfrey heads away from syndication next year, leaving a massive gap in the daytime talk show circuit.
