‘Glee’ Puts Casting Call Out on MySpace

Mar 31, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Unlike Fox’s "American Idol," aspiring singers won’t have to camp out overnight on concrete sidewalks for a shot on the network’s other musical program, "Glee," the Los Angeles Times Show Tracker blog reports.

Singers between 16 and 26 can upload five-minute audition tapes to the show’s MySpace page, according to the report.

The requirements include a one-minute introduction and four-minute song, which must include one of the 10 tunes from the show’s songbook, which range from "You Can’t Always Get What You Want" to "Lean on Me." The introduction must explain why the contestant wants to be on the program. Fox is hoping to find singers for roles in the show’s second season.

News Corp. owns MySpace, as well as the network "Glee" is on and the company that co-produces the show.

  1. Please give me GOLDEN STARS to vote for me on GLEE’s casting call. 6 months ago I contracted a virus that paralyzed my vocal cords. I was told that I would probably never sing again.
BUT I AM HERE AND I AM SINGING!! So please help me make my dreams come true.
