Leno’s Post-Olympic Boost Gone as Letterman Regains Ratings Lead

Mar 10, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Jay Leno’s five-day ratings winning streak over "The Late Show with David Letterman" ended Monday, as Letterman reclaimed the top ratings spot in late night, tvbythenumbers.com reports.

Monday’s fast national numbers put Letterman at a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49, followed by Leno’s 1.1 rating.

Leno still edged out Letterman in total viewers 4.36 million to 4.19 million, but NBC has usually  said that it does not consider total viewers a relevant measurement for its programming.

  1. Amazing how an outdated measurement (ie A1849) is still considered relevant.

  2. I was always a Leno fan until he screwed Conan. Now I watch Letterman. Leno claims it was about the numbers, but his sucked. He doesn’t acknowledge this, he blames Conan. Yet Conan’s numbers were low because of Leno’s lead in. Ask the affiliates.
