NBC’s 17 nights of Winter Olympics coverage drew about 190 million viewers in total to both its broadcast and cable channels, and an average of 24.4 million viewers in NBC prime time, reports the Los Angeles Times, citing Nielsen figures.

The primetime figure was 21 percent above NBC’s Turin Winter Games average in 2006.

NBC has said it expects to lose $250 million on the event.
