The CW decided not to make “Smallville” fans wait: The network gave the series an early renewal for its 10th season, Michael Ausiello reports for EW.com.
The show’s move to Friday nights has paid off for the network, which has seen a dramatic improvement in its ratings on the night.
The early pickup, combined with other early renewals, leaves just “One Tree Hill,” “Melrose Place” and “Life Unexpected” hanging.
