‘Today’ Co-Anchor Extends Deal, But Only for a Year

Mar 4, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Considering the importance of the on-air talent to the No. 1 morning show, NBC’s "Today" show, clearly the network wants to make the contracts of these folks as long as possible.

“Today” co-anchor Meredith Vieira extended her deal with the NBC morning show, TVGuideMagazine.com reports.

She added a year to her existing deal, so her contract will now run through September 2011. The New York Times notes that she decided against making a long-term renewal commitment to the top-rated show, but it’s not clear why.
