ABC apparently isn’t afraid of throwing away money. The network has ordered a game show set on top of a skyscraper which threatens contestants with throwing their winnings over the side of the building if they lose, the Hollywood Reporter says.

The trivia-quiz show may also offer contestants the chance to "take a controlled plunge," although the program is still figuring out that part of the game. Hmmm.

ABC has ordered episodes of "Downfall" to run in this summer from producer Fremantle Media North America. It’s one of several projects ABC’s lining up for later this year, including an ice-dancing show from BBC Worldwide and a weight-loss reality program from J.D. Roth.

According to the article, " ‘Downfall’ is a new, hybrid, high-stakes field game show where fearless contestants have to fight and focus hard to keep their winnings from falling off the side of a building,’ executive producer Scott St. John said.’
