CBS Programming Exec Leaving to Be Showrunner at ‘Undercover Boss’

A CBS programming executive is leaving to take the role of executive producer of "Undercover Boss," which he helped develop while at the network, the Hollywood Reporter says.

The executive is Chris Carlson. He’ll replace Shauna Minoprio who left the show for personal matters and will have day-to-day responsibility for the program.

Carlson previously was either a supervising producer or co-executive producer on reality shows including Bravo’s "Blow Out" and "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." "Undercover Boss" is Sunday’s top-rated show, grabbing a 5.0 rating with adults 18 to 49 in the most recent weeks.

  1. It might be best if all the programming execs at CBS committed mass suicide for canceling “Ghost Whisperer” and “Cold Case.” You semiliterate clowns must be closet Tea Party twinks or something. Or are you just plain evil. Both programs were interesting and innovative, but as is typical of intellectually moribund greedheads more concerned with ratings and the bottom line, you kill anything good on the tube. You all need to emulate lemmings and march into the ocean without life preservers; the world would be much better off without you.
