An 84-year-old World War II veteran is claiming he’s Oprah Winfrey’s father and wants her to submit to a paternity test to prove his claim, the New York Post reports

According to the article, Norh Robinson is a "dirt-poor Mississippi farmer now living in a rural VA hospital" who says he wrote to Winfrey years ago to convey his belief. "I never did get no answer. If I did, it didn’t get to me," he says. He adds that he isn’t interested in Winfrey’s wealth and just wants to talk with her before he dies. A spokeswoman for Winfrey said she wasn’t available to comment. Winfrey was raised by her mother and her longtime boyfriend, Vernon Winfrey, whom Oprah Winfrey views as her dad but not her biological father.

Robinson said he met Winfrey’s mother because they had worked in the same part of town and he frequently drove her to and back from work, the article says.
