Litton Studios will produce six all-new original half-hour educational and informative, or E/I, series for exclusively for ABC stations starting September 2011, the company announced today.

Station groups like ABC owned-and-operated stations, plus Cox, Newport, McGraw-Hill and Post-Newsweek are currently signed up for Litton’s programming. 

“The ABC Affiliate Association’s Board has recommended Litton’s lineup of E/I programs as the best programming and financial option for ABC affiliates,” Darrell K. Brown, President of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting and Chairman of the ABC Affiliate Board, said in a statement.

Litton produces several E/I series already, including "Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures" and "Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild."
