Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt has been cast in a co-starring role in an NBC comedy pilot opposite Matthew Broderick, the Hollywood Reporter says.
In the pilot, titled "Beach Lane,"Oswalt will play a wealthy slacker named James who’s been handed the job of running a Hamptons newspaper, and decides to hire Broderick’s character, a well-known journalist, to reverse the publication’s fortunes. The cast also includes Kristen Johnston of "Third Rock From the Sun," who will play James’ stepsister.
