ICM TV talent agent Tom Burke has been tapped as the head of casting for Warner Bros. Television, replacing Mary Buck, who is retiring in May after eight years at the studio, Nellie Andreeva reports at Deadline.com.

Burke will be in charge of casting for all scripted TV pilots and series produced by Warner Bros. Television and Warner Horizon, and will report to Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth.

Burke has served as an agent in ICM’s TV talent unit for 10 years, representing actors ranging from Lauren Graham to Martin Sheen to Jada Pinkett Smith.

Deadline.com points out that Burke has casting executive experience from earlier in his career, when he served as manager and director of casting at Columbia Pictures TV and as director talent and casting at CBS overseeing telefilms and miniseries.
