Telemundo has created a consumer products unit to create jewelry and other items that can be worked into the network’s telenovelas and then sold both at telemundo.com and at home shopping and retail channels, Adweek reports.

The first effort will be a Telemundo jewelry line that will be featured on the network’s "El Clon" series this month. The plan is to expand licensed products to include bath, bedding and home furnishings that will be tied to other shows, such as the network’s morning show "Levantate."

The jewelry line comes from Richline Group, a unit of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway holding company, and has been incorporated into 16 episodes of "El Clon," according to the New York Times.
