Fox and CBS aren’t apparently much concerned by the pending Comcast-NBCU merger, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

During a discussion panel at the Milken Institute Global Conference on Wednesday, News Corp. President Chase Carey and CBS President Leslie Moonves both said they aren’t worried about the proposed merger.

"From a macro perspective, I’m certainly not troubled by it," Carey said.

"Being that NBC is in fourth place, we sort of don’t like anything to change," Moonves joked, adding that while other people are worried about it, "I don’t feel that way."

  1. It is the consumer that needs to be concerned. Especially if you are not a Comcast customer or in a Comcast market. DirecTV customers who missed most of the NHL regular season are the first to suffer from this powerhouse as it attempts to block programming it controls. Once they control NBC, what will they block from competitors to leverage their power? The fans who want to see the Office or 30 Rock will be the ones who suffer.
