ABC Family has purchased the syndication rights a cult-favorite TV series from NBC Universal, reports B&C.

Starting this fall, ABC Family will start airing "Friday Night Lights," which struggled to find a broadcast-size audience during its first-run on NBC.  DirecTV  also showed original episodes.

The show follows the high-school football coach Eric Taylor, played by Kyle Chandler, who lives and coaches in the town of Dillon, Texas.

  1. One of the best shows on television. If it had been given the same opportunities as Heroes and Chuck it would have been a hit for NBC.

  2. Wonderful to read!
