‘Big Bang Theory’ Sold to TBS and Fox Stations in Lucrative Syndication Deal

May 17, 2010  •  Post A Comment

In what the New York Times’ Media Decoder blog is calling one of the most lucrative television syndication deals ever, Warner Bros. has sold "The Big Bang Theory" to TBS and local stations owned by Fox to begin airing in the fall of 2011.

Interest in the series was high because there are so few multi-camera, traditional comedies that continue to draw a large audience. Now in its third season, the CBS show ranks as the top-rated sitcom in the 18-to-49 year-old demographic.

TBS may decide to schedule the episodes at 10 p.m., providing a lead-in to Conan O’Brien’s talk show.
