Former Senator Bob Kerrey Selected to Head MPAA

Former Nebraska Sen. Bob Kerrey has been selected by the member companies of the Motion Picture Association of America to be the new chairman of the organization, according to The Wrap.

While the heads of the major Hollywood movie companies that make up the association have approved the appointment, a deal has yet to be signed. Kerrey would be replacing replace Dan Glickman as chairman-CEO of the MPAA

Kerrey, currently president of the New School University in New York, is a moderate Democrat who has long-standing ties to the Hollywood establishment, The Wrap said.
