Cartoon Network is expected to air an animated show based on the Green Lantern comic-book character, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
During a Time Warner investor day, Turner networks Chairman Phil Kent showed a slide with some of the network’s original programming. One of the slides included the new show, called "Green Lantern: The Animated Series." Green Lantern is based on the DC Comics character, who possesses a magical ring that gives him super powers, and is expected to air after Warner Bros.’ "Green Lantern" movie debuts in June, 2011.
