A remake of the classic private-detective series "Rockford Files" is dead at NBC, Nellie Andreeva reports on Deadline.com.
The news comes after reports that the reboot, starring Dermot Mulroney and Beau Bridges, was a dud.
While a recut version was an improvement over the original, it didn’t impress NBC executives enough to place an order, although it’s possible the concept may be redeveloped.
In other NBC news, the network has given "Chuck" a 13-episode order for a fourth season, EW.com’s The Ausiello Files reports.
