James Gandolfini, star of HBO’s "The Sopranos" will be back acting on another HBO program, along with Tim Robbiins, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

The program, from HBO Films, is "Cinema Verite," the story of the making of the 1970s ground-breaking PBS series "An American Family."

The original program, which aired on PBS in 1973, shocked viewers with its real-life depiction of a family, the Louds, dealing with divorce and sexual identity. Robbins will play Bill Loud, the father of the family. The mother of the family, Pat Loud, as previously announced, will be play by Diane Lane.

Gandolfini will play Craig Gilbert, who was the original producer of the PBS series. The project will start production this summer in Los Angeles.

  2. Sir, I am disappointed that you called
Glen Beck Satan in the presence of his children but I attribute it to your intellect deficit, a misfortune for you and possibly for your heirs. He is “right on” and you are “far off.”
