Verizon, Google, to Take on iPad

May 12, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Verizon, which has been cut out of the iPhone and iPad markets thus far, is working with Google on a tablet that will compete with the iPad, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Verizon already has phones that run on Google’s Android software.

According to the article, " ‘Other vendors are not going to stand by and just cede that market to Apple,’ said Michael Gartenberg, a tech industry analyst with the Altimeter Group. "We’re going to see more competition in this space."
