With Shows Canceled, New Ones Ordered, Fox Business Network is Getting Refreshed

Fox Business Network is getting an on-air refreshment, reports TVNewser.com.

The network has canceled a number of programs, including the afternoon show "Happy Hour," and ordered some new ones, such as a weekend show with Andrew Napolitano.

It seems that the network is in the middle of refreshing its offerings while it competes with rival business networks CNBC and Bloomberg, not to mention its own sister news network, Fox News.

But the real task for FBN is to fashion a network offering an approach that veers significantly from what its sister network offers.

Meanwhile, Inside Cable News reports Roger Ailes sat down recently to watch the FBN’s programming, with the idea of looking at what might need changing or tweaking.

  1. How about providing some Evening News for the West Coast. All we get on all the channels are opinion and interview shows after 5pm. It would be great if there was still a news channel that serviced the West Coast with news at least until 8 or 9 pm.

  2. I have been waiting a long time to get FBN because even after several requests my carrier “cablevision” took a very long time to finally add FBN.I must tell you, that I am quite disappointed with a few things!First please you must change your screen design, its chaotic and distracting!Too many colors and way too busy also your tickers and info are taking up too much screen space, reducing the size of the show being broadcast.C’mon look at your competitors on screen broadcast, less busy and distracting and tone down on all those colors focussing more attention on your shows! thanks for listening!!
