It could be a sign of viewers either getting tired of President Barack Obama or of news about the gulf oil spill, but the President’s speech about the disaster attracted fewer viewers than other recent addresses, reports the New York Times’ Media Decoder blog.
The 20-minute address was watched by 24 million households and 32 million people on Tuesday night, according to Nielsen. That compares with an average of 48 million viewers for President Obama’s previous prime-time speech, the State of the Union in January. About 41 million viewers tuned into his December speech about the war in Afghanistan.
I think Obama has enough episodes (TV Speeches) to start a syndication package.
The man has nothing to say because he is not doing anything.
But I’d be willing to bet that right before the BP oil spill, you and your “friends” were whining about him turning the country into a bastion of socialism.
