Veteran reporter Gail Huff has found a new job at Allbritton’s WJLA-TV, the Washington, D.C.-area’s ABC station, and will move from her long-time Boston job at WCVB-TV, reports the Washington Post.

Huff, who also happens to be the wife of the new Republican senator from Massachusetts, Scott Brown, will focus on medical, consumer and investigative pieces and avoid politics, the station said, according to the article.

She’d worked at WCVB in Boston, an ABC affiliate owned by Hearst Television, for the last 17 years. She’ll start at the Washington station after Labor Day and has signed a two-year contract with that station. That time frame matches the shortened term her husband won in their home state’s special election.
