Report: Larry King Wants to Leave L.A. to Return to New York City

Larry King is considering moving back to New York City after becoming tired of the paparazzi and the drama over his marriage to Shawn Southwick while living in Los Angeles, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

King could move back to the East Coast to become a free agent, because CNN executives plan to let his contract expire next May amid falling ratings and the attention over King’s troubled marriage, the report states.

King’s show on Thursday was bumped for an investigative report from Soledad O’Brien, which the article says may be a sign the network is considering a new approach. A spokesman for King said he’s not planning on leaving Los Angeles and that CNN has told King they want him to stay. CNN declined to comment on King’s contract, the article says.

  1. King’s time is up on National TV. I am sure he will be joining with the WPIX-TV group and claiming age discrimination when CNN doesn’t renew his contract.
