Syfy has tapped a former "Smallville" actor for a part in the U.S. remake of the British show "Being Human," reports EW.com’s the Ausiello Files.

Sam Witwer, who played Doomsday on the CW show, landed the role of Aidan, according to the article. The show follows three roommates in their 20s who happen to be a vampire (Aidan), a werewolf and a ghost, the story says.

Meaghan Rath of "The Assistants" has signed on to play Molly, the ghost. Sam Huntington of "Cavemen" is in the running for the part of Josh, the werewolf, the story says.

  1. Let’s hope that this works out better than the lame attempt to make a US version of Life on Mars. Like Mars, the BBC version of Being Human is great drama. Excellent acting and writing. You can sample it on DirecTV’s 101 if you are a subscriber to DirecTV. It will be back for a second season on BBCAmerica July 24th.

  2. Amazing freakin blog here. I almost cried while reading it!
