TV Shows Make Big Plans for Comic-Con

Once upon a time, only nerds and comic book fans were flocking to Comic-Con in San Diego for the annual convention of sci-fi and fantasy fiction, but recently TV has learned the value of the event and at the upcoming con, there will be a plethora of new shows and hit shows taking part, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Comic-Con International commences July 22 and runs till July 25

NBC will use Comic-Con to present "The Cape" and "The Event," two new series for the fall.

CBS’s "The Big Bang Theory" is making a return visit, while Warner Bros. is also going to hype "Fringe," "Chuck," "Supernatural," "The Vampire Diaries," "Human Target" and "Smallville."

ABC’s going to promote the new Michael Chiklis show "No Ordinary Family," as well as "V" and "Castle."

Fox will present a panel devoted to "Family Guy," "The Cleveland Show," "American Dad," "The Simpsons" and "Futurama."

  1. I think these cons are now call pop-culture cons now…its just evolution. Comics will probably be pushed out all together in the next few years.
