The Spanish-language network Univision is committing 900 hours of World Cup coverage, in a plan that represents the network’s largest commitment of resources ever to a single event, reports the Miami Herald.

The media company will provide all 64 matches live and in high definition, as well as live streaming on UnivisionFutbol.com, video on demand and a phone app, the report says.

It’s not only a way for the network to provide its Hispanic viewers with soccer coverage but a vehicle to illustrate the strength and growth of the U.S. Hispanic market. While Univision attracted more than 50 million viewers to its World Cup broadcast in 2006, the network expects even higher numbers this year, according to the article.
