After a rumor spread on Twitter on Monday that Bill Cosby had died, the actor and comedian jumped into action to prove that he’s alive and kicking, reports CNN.com.

The 73-year old may have some practice at debunking the false story, as he told "Larry King Live" that it’s the fourth time he’s been reported dead.

Speaking via phone on CNN’s "Larry King Live," Cosby said, "I don’t want [whoever spread the rumor] to do this anymore, because this is my fourth time being reported [dead]." Cosby, the star of the 1980s hit "The Cosby Show," said one of his friends was in tears before realizing it wasn’t true.

Cosby also sent out an alert on his own Twitter account, writing, ""Again, I’m rebuttaling (sic) rumors about my demise. But, I’m confirming I have an app," referring to an iPhone application that uses clips of his performances.
