A Canadian Broadcasting talk show that has been compared to "Rachael Ray" has been cleared for broadcast in 40% of the U.S. market for its Sept. 13 debut, reports TVNewscheck.com.

"Steven and Chris," a 4-year-old CBC program, has clearances on stations in 50 markets and is looking for more, in what syndicators are calling a phased rollout.

"We’re still clearing the show,” said Ritch Colbert, a principal in syndicator Program Partners. “At this late date, schedules are still being shifted around and changed, so we’re not letting up."

The stars of the show, Steven Sabados and Chris Hyndman, are best known in the U.S. for the TV show "The Designer Guys," which was broadcast on the Discovery Channel a few years ago.
