Comcast’s G4 has ordered 10 one-hour episodes of a reality show that’s a real-life version of the Oscar-winning movie "The Hurt Locker," reports James Hibberd at the Hollywood Reporter.

The show tracks a U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit as it begins its training in the U.S. and then deploys in Afghanistan, the story says.

Called "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan," the show’s production received permission from the Navy to shoot the program, although the military won’t have creative control, the article adds. The show is produced by Big Fish Entertainment and is executive produced by Doug DePriest and Dan Cesareo.
