Despite Allowing Same-Sex Couples, None Advance in Wedding Contest on ‘Today’

Even though NBC’s "Today" decided to allow same-sex couples to apply for its "Modern Love" wedding contest, none have made the cut among the show’s four finalists, TVNewser.com reports.

As previously reported, "Today" decided in July to allow same-sex couples to apply after the show received complaints from viewers and pressure from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

Viewers can vote on the four couples via Facebook or at the "Today" Website, and the winning couple will be married on TV October 6th, the story says.
