ESPN is pouring cold water on a sideline reporter’s deal to appear in an ad campaign for beer, expressing concerns that her beat is college sports, USA Today reports.

Jenn Brown, an ESPN sideline reporter who covers college basketball and football, secured the deal with MillerCoors’ Icehouse beer to appear in commercials, only to have the deal rejected by the network.

ESPN spokesperson Mike Soltys said Tuesday the network objected to Brown’s participation because she is a reporter and because her beat is collegiate.
