FX has ordered a pilot for a sci-fi/outer space comedy from the creators of "Reno 911," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition, FX picked up a second season of the Louis C.K. dark comedy "Louie."

The space comedy pilot, which is being described as a part-scripted, part-improvised "Star Trek" parody, will star show creators Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant, both "Reno 911" veterans.

FX gave "Louie" an order for a 13-episode second season.
