In Emmy’s ‘In Memoriam’ Segment, Some Viewers Mistook Young Corey Haim for Another ’80s Child Actor

An ’80s child star may be the victim of poor literacy, or perhaps some Twitter pranksters, after the Emmy’s "In Memoriam" segment got some viewers confused between him and a young Corey Haim, reports PopEater.com

An image of a young Corey Haim – who passed away in March – was shown during the segment, along with his name superimposed over his picture, the story says. The picture did resemble that of a young Fred Savage, the star of "The Wonder Years," the article points out.

After the segment, the phrase "Fred Savage Dead" started popping up on Google, while viewers picked up on the rumor and posted it on Twitter. Savage, 34, hasn’t commented on the mistake.
